Peace of Mind

Online for the first time in a few days, and I can't resist.

Back to the woods in a minute, but first...

I just checked in at our in-process Carrot Project site, and I am so excited to have something live and online.

There's not much there yet.  And what is there isn't pretty.  But there is something.  And that something has been huge for my peace of mind over the past few weeks.

Little things every day.  Subtle additions and improvements.  Bugs found and bugs killed, big and little.

I bet having live in-process sites to visit 100 million times a day is the only way a lot of founders and project managers maintain their sanity, but this is a new experience for me, and I hope I never have to go back.

As I said, there's nothing beautiful about what's up, and the functionality that's there is only partially implemented.  But I can play around on it every day, and that inspires sanity about as well as anything I can imagine.

If any of you want to come play a bit too, email moreperfectmarket at gmail dot com, and I'll send you a link.
