I first listened to Wilco's Sky Blue Sky over a year ago.  The circumstances should have been absolutely ideal for music introduction, but somehow it didn't work out that way.  It was an intense 24 hour moment, the beginnings of my move from Beijing back to the USA, and I guess I was distracted.  I walked away unconvinced.

Luckily, a few weeks ago, the album popped up again.  In totally different circumstances.  And I listened again.  And listened well.  And loved it.

The first song is Either Way.  Short.  Quiet.  Leads with the word maybe .  Which, in my opinion, is a great way to start an album.  With a little mystery.

I can't help but wonder about that first introduction.  I'm surprised it didn't stick.  It should have.

But all's good now.  Delayed gratification I guess.  Accidentally delayed.
